Roll on by

Roll on by I say, I say roll on by
just as though you were on rollerblades
Go on pass me just like all the rest
Before you get a chance to truely
gaze into these wonderous eyes
As if I didn’t expect it from the begining
these hopes of mine deseve me
and yet no matter how much I am told
I’d rather have hope
than to have an empty heart
just floating in my chest
as though it will never find where to go ashore
and take a rest from all this constant swimming in my soul
I become restless from all this confusion
not sure where to put my hope where it belongs
yet refusing to become hopeless
as hopeless as I may seem in your eyes
I have more potential than you will ever know
or even take the chance of being a part of
so lets just dance from across the room
glancing at eachother
and while I try to weave myself to you
through all these bodys twisting and turning
you can slip out the door
like the coward that you are.
