The boy who lost his feelings
You’ve been gone for days doing everything
you could to stop yourself from feeling
and the walk to your front door seems like miles
but is suddenly shortened with a quick swing
“How could you just leave me?!”
it’s your mom walking like a storm at you
the only thought you have at this point is yourself,
you’re thinking she should be asking you
if you’re okay, and you become very angry
“what did I do to deserve this?” she continues
you can’t look into her eyes
you feel it is all her fault yet can’t think of why
so Holding your breath like your mother
held her first born, you, you answer her
with all your hurt, fear, and pain
tied in knot that seems impossible to untie
just sitting there in your stomach,
your minds rapped up in millions of
thoughts all at once so all you can do is
yell, yell out the first thought in your mind
“I hate you!” then your mind comes to a Holt
and the hurt of what you just said screech’s
you close your eyes at the painful noise
and suddenly you feel something running down your
cheeks and when you touch it you realize it is tears
you’re puzzled they fall with so little effort it’s
been ages since you have cried
as you stare at the tear rested on your finger tip
you realize that it’s not her fault
you’d been lying to yourself all a long
when you look up at your mothers tears
guilt suddenly puts a choke hold on your heart
and your face is soaked with salty tears
After a long stare of complete silence you speak
again “Nothing mom, you did nothing at all”
and you sink into her arms .
